Berggren Architects
is one of the most unique firms in Nebraska. Since 1977 the focus
of our practice has been the rehabilitation of buildings listed
on the National Register of Historic Places. Preservation of their
historic character is a primary goal throughout our design and
construction. Although we focus on rehabilitation and renovation,
new construction is a significant part of our firm’s experience.
Our new construction projects include public architecture, private
facilities, religious institutions, and commercial structures.
Berggren Architects
have successfully served clients in the fields of education, government,
commerce and religion through the process of achieving their goals
and serving their missions within existing historic structures.
Our projects have ranged from design and specification for the
repair and maintenance of antiquated building fabric to the complete “adaptive
re-use” of existing structures. In addition to traditional
clients, there is an increasing demand for our preservation architects
to serve as consultants. We have provided consulting services to
a number of architectural and engineering firms on projects in
Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas, Georgia and Michigan.
Berggren Architects
is a small firm, where all of our staff members contribute to
our client’s projects. Our most experienced professionals
work side by side with our newest employees in all aspects of construction,
from schematic design to construction observation. We have assembled
a quality staff, half of whom are licensed Architects who share
the desire to create the highest quality structures for our Clients.
