Berggren Architects was able to take a comprehensive approach to addressing the needs of the courthouse.

This historic home in Seward, NE has been restored to it’s original 1890′s appearance, and given a large new kitchen addition that looks as if it’s always been there.

Antelope County called on Berggren Architects to design a new addition connecting the original 1894 courthouse to the 1966 annex.

Formerly the Nebraska City Elks Club, this building was renovated to house a coalition of various social services including family and children supporting agencies.

Our most recent project with this courthouse returned the roof surface back to it’s historic black slate and copper details.

Berggren Architects was retained to do a Master Plan of the entire complex with particular emphasis on restoring the public areas.

We are proud to say this project was awarded the 2002 Preservation Honors Award by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Berggren Architects were retained by the Holt County Board of Supervisors to review their courthouse for compliance with the accessibility standards.
